A $25 fee will be assessed on all returned checks.  Checks must be preprinted with an 
imprint of the check's issuing bank, and with your name and physical address.

Privacy and Security

Information collected
In order to process your order and serve you better, we may collect personally identifiable information, such as your name, mailing and email addresses, phone number, credit card number, CID number, and expiration date. This also allows us to notify you of your order status and occasionally of information about new products or special promotions we think you'll like. In order to assist us in developing the store 
layout that is best for our customers, we monitor traffic patterns on our site.

You have the option not to be contacted by us via email regarding special product information or offers.

We use the personally identifiable information you provide for internal purposes, such as confirming and tracking your order, subscription or registration, analyzing trends and statistics, informing you of our new products, services and offers, and providing you with information from and about Skin Connection.Other than as described above, Skin Connection does not rent, sell, or trade your information. However, we may contract our service providers, such as companies that are provide certain services including credit card processing, shipping, data management, promotional services, etc. We provide them the information needed for them to perform these services.  Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally identifiable information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities who may be causing injury to you, to Skin Connection or to others. We may also disclose your personally identifiable information when we believe the law requires it.
Links to third party sites
Our websites may contain links to websites operated and maintained by third parties, over which we have no control. Privacy policies on such linked sites may be different from our privacy policy. You access such linked sites at your own risk. You should always read the privacy policy of a linked site before disclosing any personal information on such site.
Policy changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy in whole or in part, we will inform you by posting a notice on our website. Those changes will go into effect on the date posted in the notice. The new policy will apply to all current and past users of our website and will replace any prior policies that are inconsistent. This policy was posted in February of 2007.
Protecting children
DHC takes special care to protect the safety and privacy of children. Our website is a general audience site. We do not permit anyone under the age of 13 to register with us. We also do not send email correspondence to anyone who tells us that they are under the age of 13 without their parent's consent.  Children under the age of 13 should always ask their parents or guardians for permission before providing any personal information to anyone online. We urge parents and guardians to participate in their children's online activities and use parental control or other web filtering technology to supervise children's access to the web.
Cookies
A cookie is a file stored on your computer by a website to give you a unique ID. A cookie generated by contains only a numeric ID that allows you to retrieve certain information on our site. For example, while on our site if you leave your shopping basket to look for other items, the cookie allows for the storage of the selected items in the basket. Cookies help us provide you with the information you need and make it easier for you to use our site.
Gift Certificate
Gift Certificates are available in any amount over $10 and there is NO Shipping charge. Gift Certificates may be purchased by phone, mail, fax, on our website, or Salon.   Discounts do not apply to Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates contains value which may only be used to purchase retail products and services at Skin Connection.  Present Gift Certificate at time of service.  This Gift Certificate may not be redeemed for cash.
Skin Connection is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged gift certificates.  Gift Certificates can not be transfered to another person.
Shipping
  1. Orders within the contiguous United States are shipped by ground service. Approximate standard transit time is 2-7 days.
  2. Shipments to P.O. Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are shipped via USPS Priority Mail®.
  3. Skin Connection may alter the shipping methods or carriers as the need arises.
  4. Each order is limited to one delivery address.
  5. Most orders are shipped within two business days of receipt.
  6. Skin Connection can only process online orders within the United States and U.S. territories.
  7. Skin Connection offers free shipping via UPS or FedEx as applicable on all orders of $75 or greater within the continental United States. Orders of $75 or greater to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, 
  8. PO Boxes and military addresses are shipped free by USPS Priority Mail.
  9. Orders shipped to Canada are sent via USPS Global Priority Mail and subject to a $7.50 shipping charge, in addition to applicable shipping fees, if any.
  10. Skin Connection is not responsible for additional fees, such as applicable taxes, customs, and duties, charged by the Canadian government, or delivery surcharges that may be charged by Canada Post.
Payment Methods 
We accept Cash, Visa, Mastercharge for all orders. Personal checks and money orders are accepted for in-store and mail orders only. A $25 fee will be charged on all returned checks.
Email promotion rules
In addition to all other policies, Skin Connection reserves the right to void certificates coupons discounts, orders, and requests, and to terminate promotions prior to their scheduled end date in the event Skin Connection determines at its sole discretion, that the promotion is being abused.
Only intended recipients of a promotional email are eligible for promotions.
Violation of the promotional rules will disqualify your order.
